Terracotta Mood

I read that joke today and it made me actually laugh aloud. I felt it appropriate, since I'd love to say that I got into the terracotta craze before everyone else did, but let's be honest... it's the color of the summer and I'm one of many designers that has fallen prey to its irresistible charm.

Somewhere between a pale peach and a deep rust, terracotta is earthy and warm and perfect for all things summer. From fashion to home decor, it continues to crop up this year and I'm loving all of it. I put together the below moodboard focusing on my newest favorite hue and found myself wondering where I can work into my life and design these next few months. I'm currently searching for the perfect nail polish tone, and may or may not have already purchased that sweet little bikini (this is what happens when I moodboard, oops.) What can I say, it was perfect for our upcoming anniversary trip to palm springs.
