Back in August, an image by the Portland Studio of a perfect, golden pear flashed before my eyes and out of nowhere sparked an instant love for the COLOR YELLOW. If you know me, you know this is crazy because yellow has historically been my least favorite color! But over the course of this year, designers like Jasmine Dowling and Hotel Magique have worn me down as they continue to create gorgeous pieces using this bold color. There’s something about a rich mustard that immediately screamed holiday to me - gold is already festive so why not lighten it up a touch for something a little different and magical?

I usually put together a Pinterest moodboard to inspire outfits, tablescapes, flowers, invitations and more as we approach the holiday season. I like to have a theme that brings continuity between special meals, gift wrap, and our holiday cards. I’ve missed out on the last couple years of cards because we ran out of time, but I’m determined to make a comeback! Previous seasons saw terracotta and blush, a light sage green, or even a dark navy with gold accents.

This year I’m so excited to style with creamy florals, golden brown velvets and warm candlelight. See below for all the inspiration!
